In January of 2005, Grizzly Fitness was contacted by a woman named Kristen Wulf. She had explained to me that she has been using Grizzly products for many years including a pink pair of exercise gloves that we created 10 years ago. Last year she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After enduring all of her treatment Kristen is in need of her pink gloves once again as they are now worn out. She explained that physical activity especially upper body exercise helps decrease lymphedema, which is a possible side affect of breast cancer treatment. Lymphedema involves the swelling of soft tissues of the arm or hand. The swelling may be accompanied by numbness, discomfort and sometimes infection. Grizzly Fitness has been inspired by Kristen and every woman who has had to deal with this disease. Grizzly then contacted the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and informed them that we would like to bring the Pink glove back to the market but with a positive spin to it. Grizzly Fitness will donate $2.00 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for every glove sold! The CBCF welcomes this promotion as exercise is an excellent rehabilitative tool and the Grizzly Pink Glove will be instrumental for upper body training. We hope that dedicating this product to the CBCF will generate funds that will eventually help solve this devastating disease.
